It is some time ago since my last update for my Castle. There was just to many things i had to do ...

Let us talk about my sleeping room. It is exactly above the kitchen, so it had mostly the same size ruffly 60sqm (* 9 then you have feet). Thats the reason we thus build up a room in the room for our cabinet. That room had no real doors inside and there were no real entrance. We found more or less random by the door to this room. Well there were a lot of Speculation about the room above the kitchen but it took us a bit of time to find out how best to step into. The first thing we did then was cleaning the dust from maybe 40 or 50 years untouched walls and get into two openings for the new doors. One into our office and one into our own bathroom.

As we have enough space in our house we took that luxury, and created our own bathroom which you can only reach through our sleeping room. There for we created another opening in the wall:

Here you see the only "door" we had in the room before we started.

On that you see in photos already really "fixed" room! We had no floor in, it was totally broken and really dangerous to walk on it.

Once that all was done we started to make a real room out of it.

We got new windows in and took insulation onto the walls, then we got plaster on top of it. That made sure we do not loose to much head from the room to the outside and that we got a plain wall for wallpapers.

We made that new walls around the whole room. This view you can see a part of the new cabinet again:

Once we were done with the walls Meike started to paint the wood. We have wanted it all visible. It is hundrets of years old and still looks awesome:

Meanwhile i worked on the wallpaper and on the wood on the sealing:

In our new bathroom in the 1st floor we had that very old inbuilt cabinet. I removed it with care from the walls to keep it. Now we have it in our sleeping room:

Due the fact, that our room is still that big, even after the new cabinet (size is around 3 * 4 meters) so we decide to have a sitting area in:

We are very proud that we get room by room done now and we love our house more and more each day we are in.
