My first work on some skins

After some weeks playing around with Ubuntu GNOME i tested and liked it so far. Then i wanted the testing KDE4, well it was ok, just far Overloaded. After some years with an OS which was always clean from its concept for the desktop, the Tracker and the Deskbar, i was kinda disapointed.

I went over to the internet and read on golem.de that there is a new version of Xfce. Xfce? What is that? well lets ask the Oracle. Ah cool nice and clean desktop, why not give it a try? Downloaded (you aptitude is a tool we should have had in the other OS that is!) And installed and then it just started, it was really easy.

I played again some day with it and started to read documentation and HOWTO's. Thx to my long time in building on OS i almost quite understood how to use the tools inside the terminal. The cool thing is, that you can modify the look and feel very far. What was closer than make a skin for my beloved OS?

Unfortunatly you can not get BUTTON | WINDOW TITLE | BUTTON : ( i hope that this can get fixed asap so people can skin it even more.

Where can I download the theme. And btw we say and not themes skins ;-)

It takes a modern look over the old b5, nice!

Ok, it will do any better in the future :) and say "themes". I want to make a. Deb file the next day, then you can download it.

Thanks, but why not a tarball? That's the usual way to package a theme.

I thought about make it a bit easier for "Joe". Maybe i can provide both, or is that a "stupid" idea?

Will have a look now to the scroll bars.

Explain to "Joe" that he can extract themes inside ~ /. Themes, eg "tar xf theme.tar.gz-C ~ /. Themes", or point to Joe http://wiki.xfce.org/tips # how -to-install-new-themes ^ _ ^

Can you already provide the xfwm4 theme?

I think zeta is a really good operating system Is it going to
Have a good future? I like it because it is the only modern operating system that uses multi-core CPUs to full power there. Please let zeta continue because I do not want the future of beos to be open source and buggy like linux.I would much rather pay for a good operating system
