Maintenant, je profite déjà depuis quelques mois un MacBook et je suis dans l'ensemble, vraiment beaucoup de satisfaction. Seulement ces problèmes avec la localization, qui semblent de nos jeunes d'outre-mer à ce jour, pas cuit à visiter. Un LocaleKit ZETA comme il en était bien, on ne plus trouver, mais il était apparemment si unique. Le vrai problème mais il semble plutôt être à l'assurance qualité. The last days I worked with GIMP (yes I must admit I am really impressed by it!). Once I checked the "InfoSociale" i found out that I am still using 2.4.0 RC3, well kinda outdated - aussi parler (thats the one with you get Ubuntu 7.1). I checked the Gimp homepage and saw, that there is already the final 2.4.3. But as usual i did not find the binary pour 64 bits. Due the fact that i had already the most of development stuff i decide to make one on my own.

After some weeks playing around with GNOME testé Ubuntu et i liked it so far. Then i wanted the KDE4 testing, well it was ok, just far overloaded. After some years with OS which was always clean de son concept pour le bureau, le suivi et le Bureau i was kinda disapointed.

I went over the internet and to read on golem.de that there is a new version of Xfce. Xfce? what is that? ask the well lets Oracle. Ah cool nice and clean ordinateur de bureau, why not give it a try? Téléchargés (apt-get est un outil we should have had in the other OS donc!) Et installé and then just started it, it was realy simple.

I played again some days with it and started to read documentation et le HOWTO's. Thx to my long time in building à OS i understood quite presque comment utiliser les outils intérieur du terminal. It is now some days i started to use Ubuntu. I decide to use the ubtuntu studio version 64 bits as i have an Intel Core2Duo machine running here.

One thing I soon found out quite ce qui, that is 64 bits still not that common. So if you want to use apps you will see that there is for more than 32 bits pour 64 bits.

Same thing was with some applications i started to use. One of these is called apps "cinéma", il ya la version 1.1.0 out for my system but in the same time you can get cinéma c'est-à-dire 1.1.1, just as usual in-Linux - En tant que code source. Anyway i downloaded it and decide to install all dev tools i need to get it running.

Man man man I am not a friend of Microsoft, not really. But that is really hard cinema!

In the last 12 days i tried a bunch of different versions de Linux, la plupart d'entre eux really did not work properly. Some were really bad and some were well! Merci de ton ... "utilisable". Speedwise all they were better than Windows Vista sur mon PC de test. Freespire were the worst, suivie de Ubuntu 7.04, puis Mandriva. Funny, Mandriva on that it was the only boot loader which did not break the cd Vista. But other than that it was not really well done and slow. The best one in the end ce que Ubuntu Studio avec Gnome 7.1, so far it works really well here on this machine.

Now what is to say about Mandriva? le Directeur général a écrit à Open Letter to Steve Ballmer. Both are working in a Software Company and doing business to make money and not just for fun (at least this is my personal impression). Well the story is more or less written in the Open Letter from Francois.

Here just my opinion sur la lettre elle-même:

1. Hey, if you write an open letter, let it do by one who know how to better than you do it
2. If you do business baquet do not get scared if you get into a competition, thats how business works
3. If you get into competition when it comes to you Vendor OS hould not be surprise that someone like Microsoft veut donc être une partie de it, thats how business works
4. If you have to make things cheap enough to sell them, well again This is how business works

All in all I must admit that this open letter was a stupid thing in my opinion. You should not waste your time in writing things like this, you should concentrate on the complexity and make it as good as possible and then start a real competition. And honestly: You are in the OS and that marked beside a lot of other distribution Linux, you should know it better.

As usual ... My 2 cents

Two weeks ago Claus à ce que Vacation. I never liked sa page d'accueil. So what one can do then? Well sit down and take it as it is or sit down and do a new one. :: 100:: What a number! I started about 6 months ago with the idea of my historical foundation for computers and i atteint aujourd'hui un vrai Einstein! I got my 100 for the foundation ordinateur. I am proud kinda as i think that short time in that reached something i really cool. Most of the computers i had to buy on my own but there are also people who started to help in that part.
